  • Appearance: Features large, 4-inch, double flowers with a ruffled, rosette form and a multi-color blend of yellow, pink, and red that deepens with sun exposure.
  • Fragrance: Offers a mild, pleasant, classic rose scent that is not overpowering.
  • Plant Habit: It grows as a compact, mounded shrub, typically reaching 2–4 feet tall and wide.
  • Foliage: Dressed in rich, glossy, dark green leaves, which are noted for their good natural disease resistance.

Care Instructions

  • Light: Requires full sun (at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily) for the best flower production and foliage color.
  • Watering: Water deeply during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. Established plants need about one inch of water per week, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Always water at the base of the plant to keep foliage dry and prevent fungal diseases.
  • Soil: Thrives in rich, well-drained soil amended with organic matter like compost. An ideal soil pH is slightly acidic to neutral (around 6.5).
  • Maintenance:
    • Pruning: Prune in early spring just as new growth begins to emerge. Cut stems back to about 15 inches from the soil level to encourage sturdy new canes.
    • Feeding: Apply a balanced, slow-release rose fertilizer three times during the growing season: after initial spring pruning, when buds form, and again in late summer.
    • Deadheading: Remove spent blooms (deadhead) throughout the season to encourage continuous blooming and a tidy appearance.
    • Disease Resistance: This variety is bred to be disease resistant but may still benefit from preventative fungicide treatments in highly humid or rainy climates.

This rose is an excellent choice for borders, containers, or low hedges due to its manageable size and abundant blooms.
