Appearance: A classic Hybrid Tea rose with large, high-centered blooms that can reach 5–6 inches across. The petals are a deep, rich crimson red with a soft, matte finish.
Fragrance: Renowned for an intense, classic damask scent—sweet, spicy, and very heavy.
Plant Habit: It is a tall, vigorous, and very upright shrub, often reaching 5–8 feet tall but remaining relatively narrow (about 3 feet wide).
Foliage: Features leathery, dark green leaves that provide a sharp contrast to the bold red flowers. 
Care Instructions
Light: Needs full sun (at least 6–8 hours daily). Without enough light, the stems may become "leggy" and the flowers less vibrant.
Watering: Water deeply at the base of the plant to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Avoid wetting the leaves to prevent disease.
Soil: Thrives in rich, well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH (6.0–6.5). It is a "heavy feeder" and benefits from regular applications of organic rose fertilizer.
Maintenance:
Pruning: In late winter or early spring, prune hard to about 12–18 inches from the ground to encourage strong new canes. Remove any "spent" blooms (deadheading) to trigger a second and third flush of flowers.
Disease Control: While fairly hardy, it is somewhat susceptible to black spot and powdery mildew in humid climates. Ensure good air circulation and use a fungicide spray if necessary.
